Laurent Le Pen is a French Tech entrepreneur, Founder & CEO of Omate - a hardware and software company that designs wearable tech and IoT solutions. Omate designs and manufactures wearables. We have created an entire ecosystem of products and services including smartwatches, smart rings and other IoT devices from 4G LTE telecom to BLE devices.
Laurent is also the co-founder of Oclean - a next-gen oral care tech startup based in Shenzhen that has won over 30 International design awards and owns more than 300 global patents.
Graduated from ISAAP France and a 500 Startups alum (Batch 13), Laurent has been working in the telecom industry since 2005 and lives in Shenzhen, China since 2007. Laurent has in-depth knowledge of advanced wireless technologies, electro-mechanical components and strategic alliances in both enterprise and consumer electronics. On top of that, Laurent is also a board member / community lead of La French Tech Hong Kong Shenzhen and runs a Wearable / IoT professional group on LinkedIn with over 35,000 members.

With over eight years of experience in operations, manufacturing, and customer success, I am a passionate and multi-disciplined professional who leads the Hong Kong office of Spare-it, a PropTech andsustainability company that enables a world where no resource is sent to the landfill. As the General Manager, we have deployed Spare-it's solution with 25 key tenants for Swire Properties, one of the largest real estate developers in Hong Kong, across seven buildings, 38 floors, and impacting more than 3,400 employees. I have also managed the relationship with green teams and facility managers to ensure the proper implementation, maintenance, and service to meet their sustainability goals. Additionally, I have transformed the implementation processes from ideas to streamlined and automated procedures that ensured consistency and quality across tenants. My multi-cultural and multi-industry experience enables me to think strategically and influence a diverse range of colleagues and clients with different backgrounds, from technical to C-level. I have a strong track record of delivering results, collaborating with partners, and driving innovation in the PropTech and sustainability sector. I hold an MBA from HKU Business School, a Bachelor's degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Tecnológico de Monterrey, and a Six Sigma certification. I am also fluent in Spanish, English, and French, and have intermediate proficiency in Mandarin.
